Product Highlights

More than 20 years ago, founding partner Tom Stolpman discovered a rare limestone outcropping tucked into the hills of Santa Barbara County’s coast. Open to the cooling influence of Pacific winds and naturally suited for Syrah and Roussanne, the site would become one of California’s most distinctive vineyards. Today, Stolpman Vineyards is rooted in the belief that great wine begins in great soil, and in the hands that farm it.

The estate is farmed organically and dry-farmed whenever possible, preserving both the land and the character of each vintage. At the heart of the vineyard is La Cuadrilla, the full-time team that tends the vines entirely by hand, no mechanization, no shortcuts. In the winery, the philosophy continues: native fermentations, minimal manipulation, gentle extraction, and thoughtful aging. The result? Vibrant, site-specific wines that speak clearly of limestone soils and the unique energy of Ballard Canyon.

Below, we’re highlighting a few standout bottles that beautifully express Stolpman’s craft and commitment.

La Cuadrilla 2023

Stolpman Vineyards employs its dedicated, passionate vineyard workers year round. In an effort to provide further stability to their families, the crew " La Cuadrilla" receives the profits of their wine.

In the glass, La Cuadrilla is vibrant and generous, assembled from declassified co-ferments, gentle press lots from high-end cuvées, and riper, fruit-forward parcels. It is expressive, approachable, and layered, carrying both energy and heart. Each vintage label features original black-and-white artwork honoring the team behind it.

Estate Syrah

Stolpman’s flagship Estate Syrah is a pure expression of own-rooted vines planted directly into limestone soils at high density. Dry-farmed and meticulously hand-tended, these vines produce small, concentrated clusters that require only a gentle touch in the cellar.

Deep and opaque in the glass, the wine opens with violet perfume and bright berry intensity. Layers of blackberry, fresh cherry, graphite, black olive, and Mediterranean spice unfold with time. Firm yet integrated tannins frame the finish, making this a structured, cellar-worthy Syrah that still pulses with energy.

Uni White

Uni is Stolpman’s decadent yet precise white blend, built primarily around lush, late-ripening Roussanne balanced by zesty Chardonnay. The result is richness without heaviness and a hedonistic wow factor grounded by refreshing structure.

Golden in hue, Uni offers straw, honeysuckle, pineapple, green apple, and stone fruit layered over a focused backbone. The texture is mouth-filling and voluptuous, yet lifted and refined. Originally created for the Uchi Sushi Group, Uni has since gained international acclaim and remains a stunning pairing for seafood, creamy dishes, or a celebratory evening.

Love You Bunches Red

A playful evolution in Stolpman’s winemaking, Love You Bunches Red is crafted using carbonic fermentation, with whole clusters fermenting intact to enhance aromatics and purity while softening tannins.

The result is light-bodied, chillable, and bursting with personality. Think cherry cola, juicy red fruit, and a subtle savory edge layered over fine tannin structure. It is bright, energetic, and made for sunshine, grilled meats, and easy gatherings. The handwritten labels from vineyard manager Ruben Solorzano add to its charm and authenticity.

Love Your Bunches Rose

Fresh, vibrant, and endlessly drinkable, the 2025 Love You Bunches Rosé from Santa Barbara County showcases Stolpman’s lighter-touch philosophy. At 12 percent alcohol, it is crisp and refreshing and ideal for warm days, patios, and seasonal fare.

Love You Bunches Orange

Clean and aromatic, the Love You Bunches Orange is crafted from Pinot Gris for color and texture, early-picked Chardonnay for acidity, and Gewürztraminer for exotic perfume. Extended aging allows these elements to integrate seamlessly.

Expect booming tropical aromatics such as ruby grapefruit and pineapple alongside ripe stone fruit and a chalky, food-friendly finish. Rich yet structured, it pairs beautifully with spice, vibrant vegetable dishes, and globally inspired cuisine.
