What Does the Board Do?

The Co-op Board of Directors plays a critical role in guiding the future of our co-operatively owned natural foods store. Elected by our members, board members provide oversight, strategic vision, and governance to ensure the Co-op remains financially healthy, mission-driven, and community-focused.

Board Responsibilities

Serving on the board is a rewarding opportunity to support local food systems, cooperative values, and community-driven business. Board members are responsible for:

• Governance & Leadership – Ensuring the Co-op upholds its mission and values.

• Strategic Planning – Helping set long-term goals and initiatives.

• Financial Oversight – Monitoring budgets and financial performance.

• Community Engagement – Acting as ambassadors for the Co-op within our broader community.

• Collaboration – Working closely with fellow board members and leadership to make informed decisions.
